Gear List 1 (Suitable for a Day Hike)
General Equipment: Cub Jumper (worn while travelling), Neckerchief, Hat, Waterproof raincoat+trousers, Additional warm jacket if the raincoat is only light. Waterproof Hiking/Walking Boots.
Day bag: If the weather is suitable we usually go off campsite for the day on a hike, so please bring a day bag large enough to carry waterproofs, drinks bottle, cup and a packed lunch.
Food: Usually a packed lunch or a snack is required. A treat such as a chocolate bar can be a good energy boost during a hike. A large drink is always required.
Medications: Please provide any medications and written instructions enclosed in a ziplock bag with the cubs name visible from the outside of the bag.
Gear List 2 (Suitable for a 1 or 2 night camp)
General Gear: Rucksack, Torch, Beaver/Cub Jumper (worn while travelling to camp is tradition),
Neckerchief, Hat, Waterproof raincoat & trousers, Hiking Boots (Wellies will do if no hiking activities planned)
Clothing: A full change of clothes: 2 pairs of socks, underwear, t-shirt, jumper/fleece, tracksuit/pants
No Jeans!)
Sleeping Gear: Sleeping-Bag,
Sleeping Mat, Pyjamas/Sleepwear, Hat, Bed-socks, Teddy. Optional: Pillow, Sliders/Crocs are handy for late trips to the loo!!
Washing equipment: Towel, Small Wash Cloth, Toothbrush, Toothpaste
Utensils:
Non-breakable Plate, Bowl, Cup, spoon, fork, knife, drinks bottle.
Day bag: We will usually go off-site for some part of a weekend, so please bring a small backpack large enough to carry Raingear, drinks bottle & packed lunch.
Medications: Please hand to a Scout Leader on arrival any medications and a completed
Managing Medications Form enclosed in a zip-lock bag with your Child's name visible from the outside of the bag.
